Our School

The Gatwick School is an all-through school to Year 11, located just a few minutes south of London Gatwick Airport. 

Founded in 2014, our school is part of the Aurora Academies Trust, and has approximately 400 students in primary and 600 in the secondary phase. 

Under new leadership since September, the school has ambitious plans for creating the best possible experience for our students, equipping them with all the skills they need for success, both now and in the future. We want all students and staff to be proud members of our TGS family.

The Role

We wish to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support and inspire young minds. We are looking to appoint the right person so you may be experienced or new to the profession. You will be joining a supportive team who place our values at the centre of all that we do with a commitment to raising pupil achievement and aspirations.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working as part of a team
• is an effective communicator
• has the ability to create and maintain high-quality up to date records
• has the ability to remain calm and patient under pressure, whilst working to deadlines
• has a passion for working with and supporting children and/or young people

The Hours

• Working hours: 37 per week
• Working pattern: 08:15 - 16:15 x 4 days per week, 08.15 - 15.45 x 1 day per week
• Working weeks: 39 weeks (term time only)
• Annual paid weeks: 44.85
• Salary: West Sussex NJC Grade 4, Point 6

The salary shown reflects an interim 2024/2025 pay award, pending completion of the negotiations between the National Employers and the Trade Unions. The difference between this and what is agreed as the final pay award will be paid as a lump sum back pay, when announced by the government and the Trade Unions.
