The timings of the shifts may be negotiable for the right candidate and the split shifts can be condensed to whole days during school holidays. Working under the guidance of the Headteacher and the Business Manager, the Premises Manager is responsible for ensuring that the school site remains safe and secure for our children, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities are:

· Responding to out of hours security and fire alarms

· Upkeep of the whole school premises and grounds

· Carry out minor repairs to the property, fixtures, fittings and equipment to include general decorating.

· Oversight and management of the school cleaning team (which may include some cleaning duties to cover absence)

· Engagement of contractors to complete premises works on site. Liaison with any contractors engaged to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met and work is completed to a high standard.

· General porterage duties, setting up of rooms for assemblies, meetings and events.

· Acceptance and movement of deliveries.

· Attendance at staff meetings and training as appropriate.

In return we can offer a great working environment with:

· A dedicated and supportive staff and leadership team.

· Access to a network of Aurora Academies Business and Premises professionals including the Trust’s Director of Estates.

· Respectful, polite and engaged children who greatly value their school.

· Access to Health & Safety support via our Health & Safety partner.

· Extensive CPD opportunities including Trust-wide training.

As part of our employment package our staff have access to the Aurora Advantage scheme which provides many benefits including an On Demand GP, access to an Employee Wellbeing and Assistance scheme, high street discounts and a Cycle to Work scheme.

This is a pivotal role in our school, and we encourage all candidates to come for a visit. If you have any queries about the role or would like to arrange a visit please contact Angela Dolan, Business Manager at angeladolan@auroraacademies.org or by calling 01273 523656.
